Experience Beijing Day 4 & 5

天坛 Temple of heaven, the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would make offerings to heaven and pray for good harvests. The temple complex was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during the reign of the Yongle Emperor, who was also responsible for the construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Amazing how the China people can turn into a hard selling market. First they brought us to see kyling jade pieces then talk us to pay for praying wooden plates. I turned Christian the moment i heard i need to pay to pray.
 More snacks from the mart!
 Beijing shopping district 西单
Too full for the famous 大董烤鸭店 or any proper meal, we just had some street food a street behind the mall. Kebap from night market. Surprise, they actually taste better than those in SG. They added those crunchy vege to add texture.
The husband spotted, shocked and exclaimed "Is that a bird" to a man in front of a BBQ store. Apparently the guy understand English, replied "yes, it's baby 麻雀, it's very nice, 10RMB a stick of 5". *Jaw dropped*
Sesame bread, goodness this is good!
Some kites mum bought outside Bird Nest Olympic stadium.
Morning flight back to Sin city. We round up our trip with their localize KFC breakfast. There is the super yummy porridge (thanks to the short grain they use), you tiao, soya bean milk and shao bin. This is also the only edible breakfast for the past few days.

Goodbye Beijing, Goodbye China.
